In the Census of Pointe Coupée, Louisiana on 20 December 1745, Genevieve Mahyeux is listed as 17 years of age, married to Jean Deuir (36 years of age) and they have a 16-month old son Pierre Decuir. They have three black male slaves, one black female slave and four black slaves that are boys. They also have one female Indian slave, one adult male mulatto slave and one adult female mulatto slave. They have four horses, 30 cattle, 4 hogs, 2 muskets, no pistols, no powder, no lead & balls, 50 bushels of corn, 10 bushels of beans, 10 units of tobacco and 27 arpents of cultivated land.1546,1577

1) Marguerite Decuir - born 17 December 1743 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 4 January 1750. On 15 July 1766 Marguerite Decuir married at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church Jacques François Ozenne, son of Jacques Ozenne and Charlotte Julie Moreau.

2) Pierre Decuir - born ca. 1744 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 23 August 1744. On 5 November 1771 Pierre Decuir married Marie Berza, daughter of Joseph Berza and Antoinette Lemoine, at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church.

3) François Decuir - born ca. 1747 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 22 November 1747. François Decuir married Marie Labbe, daughter of Jean Labbe and Julie Ozenne, at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 1 May 1773.

4) Geneviève Decuir - born 22 February 1746 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 27 March 1746. She died at Pointe Coupée at age ten years old and buried at the St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Cemetery on 26 August 1757.

5) Jeanne Decuir - born 19 September 1751 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 3 October 1751. She died at Pointe Coupée shortly after her baptism and was buried at the St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Cemetery on 4 October 1751.

On 2 October 1780 at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church Jean Paul Decuir married Marie Jeanne Legue, daughter of René Legue and Catherine Olivio. Jean Paul Decuir, age of 40 years and living in Avoyelles Parish, LA, was buried 12 April 1794.

9) Marie Anne Decuir - born 31 October 1758 and baptized at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church on 3 December 1758. On 21 June 1774 Marie Decuir married Jean Baptiste Tounoir, a merchant in Pointe Coupée Parish and of son Jean Tounoir, at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Church. Marie Decuir, Widow Tounoir, died at age 45 years and was buried at St. Francis of Pointe Coupée Catholic Cemetery on 30 November 1805.
