On 24 May 1794 Pierre Etier fils and Guillaume Desk went before Massicot to declare that Etier had received from Michel Frilloux the sum due him for the sale of a farm to Michel Frilloux by Guillaume Deux on 8 December 1791. The farm was 6 arpents wide by the customary depth and was located about 22.5 miles above New Orleans on the left bank of the river ascending, bounded above by the property of Pierre Vieux and below by that of Nicolas Baudoin. The farm sold for 1750 piastres. At the time of this declaration Pierre Etier had recently been emancipated by act of the governor. Prior to that time Guillaume Desk had been his tutor.
