Questions/Errors notes for Claude GUÉDRY

The birth year of Claude Guédry cited in various references varies slightly over time. Unfortunately, the first record citing his age that is currently available is not until he is an adult. The birth year of Claude Guédry cited in the 1752 Census of Île Royale and Île St-Jean5057,5020 appears in error. This census states that he was 38 years old in 1752 (i.e., born about 1714). The person conducting the census appears to have used information from the previous entry of Joseph Trahan and copied it for Claude Guedry and his wife. For example, Joseph Trahan’s wife was Anne Terriaud and the censuser lists the wife of Claude Guédry also as Anne Terriaud rather than Anne Lejeune. Joseph Trahan was 38 years old and the censuser cites the age of Claude Guédry as 38 years. This appears odd as Claude Guédry and Anne Lejeune have three children in the census with ages of 5 years, 2 years and 2 months - making this couple quite old to be having such young children without any older children in the household. For these reasons, I do not consider the age cited for Claude Guédry in this 1752 Census to be accurate. Various birth years cited for Claude Guédry in the records are 17145015,5020, 17264892,5019 and 17295022.

Questions/Errors notes for Anne (Spouse 1)
In the 1752 Census of île St-Jean the family of Claude Guédry and Anne Lejeune are at Anse au Matelost. In this census Anne Lejeune is called by the name of Anne Terriaud. It appears the error occurred because the family censused just before that of Claude Guédry and Anne Lejeune was Joseph Trahan and Anne Terriaud. The person talking the census confused the name of Anne Lejeune and wrote Anne Terriaud instead.5058
