Phillip LabeanLABEAN, Phillip - Of Flint, age 97, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Briarwood Manor. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Road, Flint, 48506, Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 1 PM until the time of service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church. Mr. LaBean was born in Gladwin County, Michigan, on November 6, 1908, son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Badore) LaBean. He married Elizabeth Mick on September 29, 1934. Phillip was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and an avid gardener. He retired from General Motors in 1972. Phillip is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elizabeth “Betty”; sons, Lawrence “Larry” (Judy) and Wilfred “Bill” (Lora); 6 grandchildren, Jeffery (Karen) (Kathleen), Steven (Shelly), Michelle (Dave) Matte, Own (Brenda), Alissa (Michael) Dunn and Emily (FiancĂ© Shane); 9 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Daniel, Amanda, Nicole, Dalton, Jeffery, Megan, Corey and Isaiah; 3 great-great-granchildren, Ethan, Julia and Henry; sister-in-law, Lanora LaBean; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. “
