November 27, 1914 - October 22, 2005

Peacefully, in her sleep, Yvonne left us to sew angels' wings on
Saturday, October 22, 2005 at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, Ontario in her
91st year. Predeceased by her husband, Albert (1991), and thirteen
brothers and sisters, and survived by her daughter Claudette (Tom
Mancini), grand-daughters Chantal (Glen Matthews) and Regan, two
brothers, Ray and Leo, and four sisters, Germaine, Lucienne, Lorraine
and Therese, and scores of nieces and nephews and their children.
Cremation has taken place

A Memorial Mass will be held at St.Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church,
715 Centre Rd., Waterdown on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 11 a.m.

In her memory, donations to St. Joseph's Villa or the Stephen Lewis
Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Shirley Madelaine Harpe, Frederick Joseph Romeo Harpe, Normand Donald Harpe, Lucy Norma Harpe and Murray Richard Harpe all became Crown Wards in Ontario when young children because their mother Marie Aline Delores Labine was having to care for the children alone since her husband Henry Harpe was an alcoholic and would abandon the family repeatedly. The Ontario Province took the children from their mother and made them Crown Wards until they were twenty-one years of age. Their mother continually searched for her children, but the persons in charge of the Crown Wards would not let her see them. She searched from town to town for them. Lucy Norma Harpe first met her mother when Lucy was 32 years of age.10000

According to the Census of Canada in 1911, the family of Henry Harpe consisted of his father Thomas Harpe (Age 42, born Sep 1868), his mother Edith Harpe (age 30, born Feb 1881), brother James Harpe (age13, born Nov 1897), esiter Ella Harpe (age 10, born May 1901), sister Mary Harpe (age 6, born Jul 1904), sister Ada Harpe (age 4, born Oct 1906) and Henry Harpe (age 1, born Apr 1910). Thomas Harpe and all the children were born in Canada, The mother Edith Harpe was born in England and immigrated to the Canada in 1885. All of the family except Edith Harpe were listed as Scotch ehtnicity. Edith Harpe was listed as English ethnicity. All of the family is listed as Canadian nationality and Salvation Army as their religion. They lived on Dutaus Street in Bracebridge, Muskoka County, Ontario, Canada.
