There is a minor discrepancy in the date of death of Joseph Hypolite Guedry fils. The church record from his funeral provide a date of death of 9 November 185010405,10406 while the succession record at the Lafourche Parish Courthouse indicates that he died on 11 November 185010420,10421. I have chosen to use the church record since it iwas created almost immediately when Joseph Hypolite Guédry died while the Petition for Inventory in the Succession was created on 28 January 1851 - over two months after his death. With this lapse of time the person creating the Petition for Inventory is more likely to have made a minor error in the date.
