Hebert lists Emelia Guidry as being born on 24 July 1846 in Lafourche Parish, LA11562 with this date being transcribed from her baptismal certificate at the St. Joseph Catholic Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, LA11563. The year 1846 seems too early for the birth of Emelia Guidry. Her parents, Joseph Adrien Guidry and Marguerite Aimee Toups, did not marry until 5 May 1853 in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, LA10423,11416,11417. Furthermore, her mother was not born until 6 Jun 183311361,11362 and, therefore, would have been only thirteen years old when she had Emelia. Even in the early 1800’s, this would have been quite young to have a child. Finally Volume 3 of Rev. Hebert’s book11569 spans the years 1851 - 1860. A birth in 1846 should have been placed in Volume 2 (1841 - 1850) of Rev. Hebert’s book11569. I suspect that the correct birthdate of Emelia Guidry is 24 July 1856.
