Orla Mowry was a very special person to his family as evidenced by his step-granddaughter’s statements. “Grandma remarried (Orla) and he was special. I think he meant more to the family than William. So special that family members were naming their children after him. Even the Frankhouse’s named their children after him but spelt the names a little different. I’ve heard that story all my life. My Aunt was also named Orla. Grandma married Orla before her childrn married and when they did marry and had a family of their own their children didn’t know William it was Orla they were raised around and they called him Grandpa Mowry. “
