Daryl LaBine13713 states that Joseph Charles Gedree was born at Baie Sainte Marie, Digby County, Nova Scotia on 15 August 1804 while Bernard Geddry13715 list his birth date as 4 August 1804 at the same place. The “Catalogue of the Families of the Parishes of St. Mary’s Bay and St. Mandé etc. 1818-1823”13721,13718 states that he was born on 15 August 1804. Since this is a primary source document, it appears that 15 August 1804 is the correct date of birth for Joseph Charles Gedree.
