Lou Molner lived 87 years. He passed away peacefully with his niece, Brenda Molnar of Wheatley and close friends by his side. Father of John, and wife Linda of Yellowknife. Predeceased by the love of his life for 45 years, Rita Ann (LaBine, 2001), brother and close friend George Molnar (2006), two sisters Mary Knaus (1975), Irene Sipocz (2004) and his younger brother Joseph Molnar (abt 1972).
Born in Brantford on August 9, 1922, son of Ignace and Teresa (Menle) from Hungary. Lou received his commission as Pilot Officer in his majesty’s service completing 30 trips as bomb-aimer on #101 Squadron, Ludford Magna, Lincolnshire. He had a passion for golf and played his first Canadian Open in 1942 at the ripe age of twenty.
Lou was an Event! He impacted people. His life force will live on through his relatives, friends, and people he touched along the way.
Lou was known for his indomitable spirit and his love for laughter which sustained him to the end of his long life. Cremation has taken place. A Legion Service to celebrate Lou’s life will be held on Saturday April 10th, Service at 11:00 am at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #324, Erie St. N., Wheatley. Throughout his life Lou valued friendship and his wishes are that in lieu of donations you instead - Take A Friend To Lunch. “

MOLNER, Rita Ann (nee LaBine)Passed away peacefully in the presence of family early Sunday morning, September 30, 2001. Loving wife of Louis and mother of John, Rita Ann, a caring, generous and gentle lady, will be forever missed. Rita Ann is predeceased by her father Charles Leo LaBine, mother Claire LaBine (nee Kelly), sister Mary Claire Moray and brother Charles. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A. W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BONAVENTURE CHURCH, 1300 Leslie Street, Wednesday, October 3 at 11 a.m. Flowers were one of Rita Ann’s favourite joys in life and will be gratefully appreciated, or donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, George Knudson Fund, 610 University Avenue, M-709, Toronto, M5G 2M9. May She Rest in Peace. “
