In Hebert's transcription of the baptismal record of Edmon Guidry, the date of birth is given as 20 February 1827 and the date of baptism is given as 1 April 1838.16528,16529 The transcribed date of birth must be incorrect and should be 20 February 1837 because Marie Emerante LeBleu, the mother of Edmon Guidry, was not born until 10 June 182015684,15685 and Joseph T. Guidry, the father of Edmon Guidry, was not born until 14 June 1814.15683,4376 Joseph T. Guidry and Marie Emerante LeBleu would have been too young to have had a child in 1827. It seems very likely that the 1837 year was incorrectly written as 1827.
