Questions/Errors notes for Dom Louis BROUSSARD fils
In one of Rev. Donald Hebert's "Southwest Louisiana Records" the birth year of Louis Broussard is given as 181116624 while the other reference of his has the birth year as 18109537. The actual baptismal certificate16625, dated 25 August 1811 lists the date of birth as "né Le cinq may dernier" or "born may 5 last". One of translators for the record apparently had confusion with the term "dernier" or "last" as to which year it applied. In the church records it applies to the previous year (or 1810 in this case) so the correct year of birth would be 1810.
