Cheryl Marie Clostio Roberson

LAFAYETTE - Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at a 10 a.m. service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Cheryl Marie Clostio Roberson, 61, who passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008, at her Lafayette residence.

Interment will be in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kaplan, Louisiana.

The Rev. Roger Price, former pastor of Acadian Baptist Church will conduct the Services. Musical selections will be, “Amazing Grace”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, “I’ll Fly Away”, and “In the Garden”. Survivors include one daughter, Renee’ Michelle Roberson; one son, Stephen Christopher Roberson; her parents, Harry Clostio and the former, Velma Faulk. She was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Faye Clostio.

A native of Kaplan, Louisiana, Ms. Roberson was a resident of Lafayette for sixty one years. She attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School, Lafayette High School and also the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Prior to Ms. Roberson’s retirement, she was employed as a Speech Therapist for the Iberia Parish School Board and also worked with the Vermilion Parish and Lafayette Parish School Board offices. Her life was one of quiet meekness, gentleness and loving kindness. She gave her children sacrificial love and shared her smile with everyone. Ms. Roberson had a compassion for people, animals and nature. She was a believer in Jesus Christ.

The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, July 29, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
